A recent cyberattack affecting the Ascension healthcare network has been announced.
The Washington Post reported that “Ascension, one of the largest health systems in the United States with 140 hospitals, was struck by a cyberattack that affected computer systems across the country and impacted patient care”. Ascension has not yet revealed the full extent of the damage to the systems and data, but advised business partners to temporarily disconnect from the Ascension system.
