CISA recently published an infographic that demonstrates how important implementing network segmentation is. By segmenting your network you’re reducing the risk of threat actors gaining access to the environment. Each segment becomes its own subnetwork which will limit the amount an attacker could access should user credentials be compromised. The infographic does well to outline the benefits of a segmented network and the difference in effort needed for a threat actor to gain access.
