CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) has announced a planning agenda for 2023 that outlines how they will address cyber security risk factors. They will focus on three areas: systemic risk, collective cyber response, and high-risk communities.
Addressing systemic risk is a major priority. With an increase in cyber-attacks on the healthcare sector, we’re glad it is! JCDC is evaluating the risk posed to emergency health services, electrical and water sectors that could cause major issues to our critical infrastructure. The plan is to reduce risk from third parties, remote service providers and open-source software. The JCDC also added to the agenda updating the National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP) to include lessons learned and current threats.
